ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Albemarle County Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place early Sunday morning. At 7:54 a.m. on Sunday, June 23, Albemarle County Police and Fire Rescue Department units were called to the 3200 block of Boonesville Road for a report of a shooting with injuries. When officers arrived, they found a victim with a gunshot wound. According to police, the adult victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police said this is an isolated event and that one suspect is in custody. Albemarle County Police Department is still investigating this incident.
