What We’re Tracking Storms early Sunday morning Heating back up for Father's Day Few mid week storm chances. Showers and storms have been moving across the area as temperatures are starting off in the upper 60s and even middle 70s for those south that haven't received a lot of the precipitation. Rain should start to move out by mid to late morning as we expect plenty of sunshine later this afternoon. Plan for hot and humid conditions for Father's Day and breezy conditions as well, with wind gusts near 30 mph. Dew points look to stay in the upper 60s to around 70° and that's going to continue to make it feel hotter than those air temperatures. Afternoon highs will top out in the middle to upper 90s but it will feel closer to 100°+ later today. Average temperatures are typically in the upper 80's for this time of year. We look to hold on to the heat into early next week. Heat index values will continue to approach triple digits as we have very limited rain chances and not much relief in sight. Make sure if you have to be outside to take frequent breaks in the shade and stay hydrated! By Wednesday, we should start to see more of an active weather pattern take place that will give us a few chances for rain by the end of the week. This should 'cool' us down into the upper 80s and lower 90s, although, still above average. KSNT Storm Track Meteorologist Gabriella Gomez
