Authorities say it happened May 1st on SD Highway 28.
A car heading east passed a deputy going 95 miles an hour in a 65-mile-an-hour zone.
The deputy turned around to stop the car, but it went into the ditch.
Huron police say threat to public is over
Authorities say the car tried to make a turn but lost control due to speed and went over a culvert.
The driver was charged with Speeding and Reckless Driving.
