ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Avelo Airlines will be taking off on its first flight from Rochester to Spartanburg, South Carolina.
The exclusive non-stop service was announced last February, with the flight going from the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport to the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport. The flight will use a Boeing Next-Generation 737.
Avelo first came to Rochester with non-stop service to Raleigh, North Carolina after Frontier Airlines began suspending operations in Rochester.
In addition to the new flight to North Carolina, Avelo will also double the frequency of flights to North Carolina's Research Triangle. Avelo also announced an extension to their schedule and will be booking flights through November 5, 2024.
