Three finalists for Springfield's next superintendent of schools announced

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The three finalists for Springfield's next superintendent of schools were publicly announced for the first time Wednesday night.
Law group calling for Springfield schools superintendent process to start over
Rene Sanchez, the Superintendent of the Champlain Valley School District in Vermont.
Dr. Sonia Dinnall, the Chief of Family and Community Engagement for the Springfield Public Schools.
Kimberly Well, the lead Chief School Officer for the Springfield Public Schools
The finalists' names were announced during a meeting of the Ad Hoc Superintendent Selection Advisory Committee. Candidates were evaluated by a separate screening committee made up of community members, with the ultimate decision on who becomes the next superintendent resting with the whole School Committee.
They are expected to discuss the candidates during their meeting Thursday night.
