EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - The mother-daughter duo, April Mendoza and Pamela Mendoza-Anderson announced that the grand opening of MUTTS Canine Cantina El Paso is taking place Saturday morning, May 18 within the Montecillo community, 460 Vin Rambla. MUTTS Canine Cantina set to expand to the Sun City After nearly three years of anticipation, the grand opening promises to be an "unforgettable celebration" featuring dog-friendly activities, live music, culinary delights and more, according to a press release sent by MUTTS Canine Cantina. "We are excited to introduce this fresh and fun concept to the El Paso community," Mendoza said. “I realized there was a need for a dedicated space in which pet owners are encouraged to ‘Come.Sit.Stay.' MUTTS Cantina is just that, a social dog club where members can socialize with their friends, family, and fur-babies in a fun and safe environment." The grand opening kicks off at 10:30 a.m. in the nearby Top Golf parking lot with a pet parade led by the Franklin High School Mariachi Band. Following the parade, the El Paso Chamber will officiate a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m., heralding the official inauguration of MUTTS Canine Cantina El Paso. From 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., guests can enjoy the park and its amenities, as well as a variety of local vendors, live music, food, drinks and activities. Mobile Pet Vet and K&K Mobile Pet Grooming will be available for services on-site. Guests will also find offerings from El Perro Grande Tequila, Tailwagger Dog Beer, Aurelias Brewery, and Double Dog Bakery. Another special feature of the grand opening will be the heartwarming MUTTS for Vets presentation where two local veterans will be honored with their new service dogs, along with a year of complimentary instruction from Trained to Serve Canine Academy.
