SANGER, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 46-year-old man is in custody after allegedly killing his father Wednesday morning in Sanger, according to the Sanger Police Department. Officials say they received a call around 3 a.m. from someone at the Fastrip gas station, located on Academy Avenue and 9th Street, who reported that a man had entered the gas station asking to use the restroom, but had not come out or responded after being in there for half an hour. When officers arrived, they made entry into the bathroom. According to officials, inside the bathroom, they found a 46-year-old man with blood on his clothing who told officers he had just killed his father. Officers say after obtaining the address, they immediately responded to a home on Diamond and De Witt Avenues. Officials forced entry into the home after seeing a man who appeared to be lying on the ground. Officers say they found an 80-year-old man with fatal injuries. This is an active investigation.
