COWLEY COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) -- One person died in a crash west of Winfield Wednesday morning. Cowley County Sheriff Dave Falletti said the crash happened around 5:20 a.m. on U.S. Highway 160. Falletti also mentioned that several other vehicles were involved but could not elaborate. No one else was hurt. The KHP closed a section of Highway 160, and traffic was diverted while the team investigated. The road reopened by noon on Wednesday.
