FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- A Fort Wayne man is facing four gun-related felony charges after allegedly shooting at least two people around 4:20 p.m. Monday. The Allen County Prosecutor's Office charged 42-year-old Amos L. Manning with two counts of battery with a deadly weapon, one count of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and unlawful carrying of a handgun. All charges are Level 5 felonies. A witness told officers in court documents Manning reportedly fired a "revolver-like gun" into the air before firing shots into a crowd of people, and two witnesses identified Manning as the suspect when Fort Wayne police took him into custody. According to court records, Manning is a convicted felon and prohibited from carrying a gun after pleading guilty to "operating a vehicle after being a habitual traffic offender" in a 2022 case. Although court documents do not identify where the shooting took place, the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) responded to a shooting near the intersection of Hanna Street and Rudisill Boulevard at the same time as the incident Manning is a suspect in. FWPD activity logs show police initially responded to a "party armed" situation at the intersection at 4:21 p.m. According to an officer at the scene, four people were injured in the shooting with two victims being found at the scene. The other two victims drove themselves to the hospital, police told WANE 15. All four of the victims were in non life-threatening condition, according to the FWPD. WANE 15 has reached out to the FWPD to confirm if Manning's charges are connected to the shooting at Hanna Street and Rudisill Boulevard.
