Vote of No Confidence against Pres. Capilouto passes

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWSNOW) — A vote of no confidence against UK president Eli Capilouto passed today 58 to 24.
The University Senate calling into question his ability to lead.
They say he made significant management errors and created unnecessary and harmful division these past few years leading the University.
While the president had full support from the Board of Trustees, the vote of no confidence still passed. Many faculty members speaking out about his leadership.
“Mr. President, you have repeatedly, unequivocally, intentionally demoralized and disappointed this faculty,” said one professor.
The president released a statement after the meeting, saying he understands these peoples’ concerns.
“Moving forward, my hope is that we will come together. We don’t have to all agree about the changes, but I hope we all agree that we must continue to move forward as a community,” Pres. Capilouto said in the statement.
