(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) responded to reports of a shooting at 8:07 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2024, on the 1200 block of Sandalwood Drive. When they arrived, police found a person suffering from a gunshot wound. The person was sent to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Upon further investigation at the scene, police found several shell casings, and noticed that multiple vehicles and a building had been struck by gunshots. This does not appear to be a random act of violence, CSPD said, and the investigation is ongoing.
