RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A wet pattern is on tap for the area starting this weekend and continues into our work week. Today will be a dreary day with the risk of scattered showers continuing throughout the entire day. When showers aren’t overhead, clouds will be. We also can’t rule out a few rumbles of thunder. It will also be a cooler day with high temperatures staying in the 60s. Southern counties may reach the low 70s where they will see a few breaks in the clouds with some sunshine. Tonight, overnight lows will drop to near 60 with a few showers still around. Tomorrow will be a warmer day with highs back near the middle 70s. We stay with the risk of showers and storms, but these will be more widely scattered across the area. As we head into the work week, a summer-like pattern will be with us. Warmer temperatures will be around all week long and the risk of afternoon or evening storms each day.
