PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — A man suspected of distributing drugs in Pawtucket and the surrounding communities was arrested on Friday. Pawtucket police said 31-year-old Joey Fernandes was taken into custody after a court-authorized search of his Primrose Street apartment. Joey Fernandes Investigators seized 12 grams of crack cocaine, 10 grams of fentanyl, Oxycodone pills, a revolver, several boxes of ammunition, and other items associated with drug distribution, according to police. Fernandes now faces several charges including possession of fentanyl and cocaine with intent to deliver, distributing or manufacturing a controlled substance near a school, and possession of a firearm while delivering or manufacturing a controlled substance.
