Pawtucket man accused of dealing fentanyl, crack cocaine

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — A man suspected of distributing drugs in Pawtucket and the surrounding communities was arrested on Friday.
Pawtucket police said 31-year-old Joey Fernandes was taken into custody after a court-authorized search of his Primrose Street apartment.

Investigators seized 12 grams of crack cocaine, 10 grams of fentanyl, Oxycodone pills, a revolver, several boxes of ammunition, and other items associated with drug distribution, according to police.

Police also said there were four children between the ages of 2 and 14 living in the apartment.
Fernandes now faces several charges including possession of fentanyl and cocaine with intent to deliver, distributing or manufacturing a controlled substance near a school, and possession of a firearm while delivering or manufacturing a controlled substance.
