ANDREWS, S.C. (WCBD) – A man who was warned to stay away from three schools in Andrews was arrested Friday afternoon after he returned to school grounds.
Walker Dewayne Bone, 30, was apprehended in the parking lot at Andrews High School around 2:30 p.m.
Bone was initially detained earlier in the afternoon after he was seen acting irrationally on the campuses of Andrews High School, Andrews Elementary School, and Rosemary Middle School, according to the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.
School Resource Officers at the three schools were alerted after a suspicious man was seen nearby walking toward County Line Road and Williamsburg County.
The schools were placed on secure status with their doors locked and outside activities being halted. The schools were later declared safe and returned to normal. Classroom activity was not interrupted during the response.
Bone was charged with trespass after notice after returning to the campuses.
