GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A Greensboro girl proved that she has what it takes to cook with the best of the best after finishing in the top five of the latest season of MasterChef Junior.
MasterChef Junior, the competitive cooking show, stars celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and showcases chefs between the ages of 8 and 13. Acclaimed chef Aarón Sánchez and wellness advocate and author Daphne Oz were also judges for the season.

Joyner first spoke with FOX8 in February to talk about the competition.
On Friday, Joyner came back to the FOX8 Studios on Friday to discuss her experiences on the show.
Joyner made it all the way to the top five of the remaining contestants before being eliminated on Monday.
"A lot of 8-year-olds cannot say that they were on MasterChef Junior and made it to the top five," Joyner said.

She also says that she learned new things as a result of her time on the show around so many great chefs.
"I learned that I cook really elegant, gourmet foods," Joyner said. "Gordon taught me how to make things that I didn't know before I went on the show."
Jordyn’s “signature dish” remains unchanged from her time on the show though. It is still a ribeye steak with homemade BBQ sauce with sauteed asparagus and cherry tomatoes.
She says that her time on MasterChef Junior only increased her confidence in the kitchen.
"When I'm cooking in the kitchen, I like to get messy," Joyner said. "When I was on the TV show, everyone gets to see me and I get to cook in front of all these people."
