In addition to reconstructing the crash scene, investigators need to gather information from the SUV's black box, and that's not all. 8th teen involved in fatal crash, police say "They're doing a lot of math, putting things together, figuring out where things ended up, and then all of those, along with the video, witnesses, that all kind of contributes to helping try to figure out what happened, and what led to the crash." Police are also waiting on toxicology results.At this point they can't say whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.However, investigators are confident that speed played a role. Today police also confirmed that they've identified an 8th teenager who was in the SUV when it crashed, but took off before first responders arrived.
