NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) — An investigation is underway into a shooting that happened in New Bedford Monday afternoon. The shooting happened near Austin and County streets. There is one victim that was taken to the hospital, according to police, but their condition is unknown at this time. Police said one person is in custody and a firearm has been recovered.
