EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- Four people were injured in an "incident" involving an all-terrain vehicle at Red Sands on Saturday afternoon, April 27, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff's Office said they were called out to the popular off-road recreation site at about 3:30 p.m. Four people were transported to a local hospital with what were called minor injuries and further medical evaluation. "The El Paso County Sheriff's Office urges the community to actively promote ATV safety at Red Sands. This includes wearing appropriate safety equipment and refraining from engaging in hazardous activities. Your actions can significantly contribute to a safe and enjoyable experience for all," the Sheriff's Office said in its news release. No other details about the incident were released.
