HONOLULU (KHON2) -- About $800 million has been approved by lawmakers in State and Federal funding for the Lahaina wildfire recovery.

Lawmakers approved the emergency appropriations which will include $326 million for this fiscal year, which ends in June.
An additional $460 million was approved for the following fiscal year.
The approved bills will now make their way to the full House and Senate for final votes.

One of the bills provides $65 million for the One Ohana Fund to give up to $1.5 million for each fatality, in exchange for the families not suing.
