WASHINGTON, D.C. (WLNE) –A major foreign aid bill is now on its way to President Joe Biden’s desk for his signature. The Senate passed legislation Tuesday that would provide $95 billion dollars of foreign aid to Ukraine and Israel. The bill would also force TikTok’s China based-parent company ByteDance  to sell the social media platform, under the threat of the ban. The revised legislation gives the company nine months to sell the app, plus a possible three-month extension if a sale is in progress. Biden is expected to sign the bill into law today, and his administration is also preparing a new aid package for Ukraine that is expected to be worth about one billion dollars. Administration officials have indicated that the U.S. will likely send long-range missile systems to Ukraine for the first time. The package is also expected to include more desperately needed munitions for Ukraine; that includes air defense and artillery ammunition, Bradley fighting vehicles, demolition, and weaponry.
