CHARLOTTE, N.C. —  An officer shot and killed a dog while attempting to serve a warrant at a home in west Charlotte. It happened just after 7pm Wednesday, April 17th on Sharyn Drive off Walkers Ferry Road. According to CMPD, they say Kyle Koellermeier was outside of his home and they tried to approach him. The 23-year-old, who is a suspect in an auto theft and has multiple felony warrants, went inside. CMPD says a dog at that home became aggressive and charged at an officer. The officer shot the dog, according to CMPD. Officers arrested Koellermeier for felony larceny of motor vehicle and felony flee to elude arrest. Natalie Marlow was arrested for felony larceny of motor vehicle. Terry Hulin, 25, was arrested for felony larceny. An officer shot and killed another dog in west Charlotte. This time on West Boulevard. It happened Thursday, April 18th around 6am. While officers were responding to a breaking and entering call, the officers were confronted by several dogs, according to CMPD. They say one of the dogs was showing aggressive behavior and charged at the officer. The officer fired his gun. Officers eventually arrested the suspect, 32-year-old Terrance Davis, who has been charged with felony breaking and entering and resisting a public officer.
