HAMPTON, Va.(WAVY)-- Hampton Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash early Thursday morning. According to police, the crash occurred in the 2400 block of West Mercury Blvd just before 1 a.m. After investigating, it was revealed a 51-year-old Williamsburg woman was attempting to cross the street when she was struck by a passing vehicle. The driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. No charges are pending at this time. The crash remains under investigation by members of the Hampton Police Division’s Accident Reconstruction Team.
