INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana Guitar Show is striking chords with many at the Hendricks County Fair Grounds this weekend through Sunday. Music enthusiasts will be able to buy, sell, and trade not only guitars but a wide array of their favorite instruments.  National dealers will also be on hand to evaluate musical instruments. The Indiana Guitar Show is a national guitar show. It’s the largest gathering of musicians in Indiana, they meet once in April, and once in September.  Event organizer Eddie Prather says it attracts vendors from all across the country. “We’ve got dealers from all different types of cities all over the country. From California to Arizona, Georgia, South Carolina, New York, and all around the Midwest.” Prather also says he is starting to see a new demographic pick up on music. He tells News 8 that it’s exciting for the future of music. “The thing that we’re seeing at our show is that in the years past we’ve had guys that are old birds like me, but now the people who are 16 are coming in and also girls who are playing. Now girls are playing bass, keyboards, and guitars. So there’s an influx of young people that are entertaining the idea of actually learning a musical instrument and that’s fantastic!” said Prather.
