PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The highway is back open this morning after a crash on I-95 north shut down traffic. A wrong-way driver caused this cluster on the highway in Providence last night by the Branch Avenue exit. State police say the wrong-way driver was under the influence, but there’s no word yet on any charges. The driver ended up hitting two vehicles and was was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The drivers of the other vehicles had injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
