New Orleans police seeking boat, trailer stolen from Uptown neighborhood

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public's help finding a boat stolen out of the Uptown area.
Officers say around 4 a.m. on March 23, a 2020 Xplorer-brand 18-foot-long boat with a Mercury-brand motor attached to an EZ Loader-brand trailer was reported stolen from the 5200 block of Laurel Street.
Police add the boat also has a Minn Kota brand trolling motor.

An investigation revealed that a white van allegedly pulled up to the location and towed the boat away. Officers say the van was last seen headed west on Tchoupitoulas Street toward Nashville Avenue and then in an unknown direction.

The vehicle was described as having LED headlights, damage to the side panels and rust on the roof.
