Dacarrei T. Kinard, 31, of Columbus, was indicted on felony counts of murder, assault and firearms violations in the May 17, 2023, death of George "Geo" Jensen II of Akron. Jensen was killed while driving home on I-76 in Norton, in what authorities said was an apparent road rage shooting. Local man accused of being Sean Combs’ drug ‘mule’ Jurors who began considering Kinard's two murder charges on Wednesday acquitted him of murder, and instead found him guilty on two lesser charges of voluntary manslaughter. They also returned guilty verdicts on Kinard's separate charges of felonious assault and discharge of a firearm on or near a prohibited premises. They also affirmed specifications for each charge which related to Kinard's use of a firearm, and that it was fired from a vehicle. Summit County Common Pleas Judge Kathryn Michael commended jurors for reaching a valid verdict, adding that there was concern jurors would return guilty verdicts on murder as well as manslaughter, which would be deemed invalid. Mystery ‘stench’ in local city solved, but days to fix George "Geo" Jensen II (Courtesy: Allison Kee-Jensen) Jensen's family released a statement through the Summit County Prosecutor's Office, which read: Geo was a gentle soul who cared deeply about all living things. When Geo met his wife Allison, it was an instant connection. There have never been two people more perfectly suited for each other. They did everything together and loved each other deeply. Geo’s presence has been severely missed. He leaves behind his wife Allison, their dog Orwell, and a tight knit family, all of whom will never be the same. Statement from family of George Jensen II U.S. Marshals and Columbus police arrested Kinard in Columbus later that month, after a search for the black Camaro believed to have been driven by Kinard, which was seen on surveillance cameras on the highway alongside Jensen's car. Kinard is due for sentencing on April 12.
