PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- One person is in the hospital after a head-on crash in Prince George County amid Virginia's second snowstorm of the season.
At about 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 8, crews with Prince George County Fire and EMS were called to the 10000 block of Old Stage Road for report
of a head-on collision.
When they arrived, they found that a sedan and a pickup truck had collided. Photos from the scene show both vehicles off-road, with the truck's front end buried within the snowy tree line.
One person involved in the crash was taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. Fire officials did not specify how severe those injuries were.
Since noon on Monday, Prince George fire crews have responded to multiple crashes. With how poor road conditions are due to this weather, drivers are asked to stay off the roads if at all possible.

"Staying off the roads when possible and driving with extra care when you must be out helps reduce crashes and keeps first responders available for other emergencies," fire officials said.
