FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Five Guys fans in Fresno will soon have the opportunity to test the restaurant's new combo - it will be introduced to select locations as the chain celebrates its 40th anniversary. Officials with Five Guys announced Wednesday they will be testing the Classic Combo, a new addition that they say "pays homage to the unmistakable flavors of Five Guys while offering a fresh way for customers to enjoy their favorite menu items at an incredible price." According to Five Guys, the Classic Combo will offer a Little Burger or Little Cheeseburger, a Little Fry - regular or Cajun - and a 16-ounce beverage for $12.99. Five Guys adds, for their items, the word "little" just refers to what many consider regular portion size. Five Guys says guests have the flexibility to customize their Classic Combo with more than 250,000 topping combinations. “Our loyal fans have requested a combo from us for a long time, and we are ready togive them this gift leading up to our 40th anniversary,” Five Guys founder and CEO Jerry Murrellsaid. “By testing the concept now, we can gauge customer response and refine our offeringbefore an official launch." Five Guys locations at 180 Paseo Del Centro, 6623 Riverside Dr. and 645 E. Shaw Ave in Fresno, as well as the 1840 Herndon Ave. location in Clovis, are part of the test stores in which the combo will be introduced. Other test stores across the Central Valley include 3572 G St., in Merced and 1693 W. Lacy Blvd, Suite A in Hanford. The Classic Combo is only available in-store and will be available soon through the Five Guys website and mobile app at the test locations, per Five Guys officials.
