Police makes 2 arrests in separate incidents in southwest Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – There was a heavy police presence in southwest Albuquerque on Friday at Central Ave. and Atrisco Dr. Albuquerque police said it was because of two unrelated incidents. Officers arrested a man they said was high on drugs and wielding a knife. APD said they had to use force to take him into custody.

Then there was a car crash. Police said the driver of a Dodge Challenger hit a woman. That suspect ditched their car and fled in another vehicle that almost hit a cop. They did return to the scene where police later arrested them.
