(COLORADO SPRINGS)—The Salvation Army said some families received the wrong gifts during its annual Angel Giving Tree program and is asking anyone impacted to contact them.
According to the Salvation Army, nearly 500 families were blessed with over 5,000 toys on Thursday. However, mistakes occurred, and some toys were not given to the right families.
"We are committed to ensuring that all the toys get into the hands of needy children and families in time for Christmas and encourage any families receiving the wrong toys to contact or come to The Salvation Army to exchange the toys," writes the Salvation Army in a Facebook post.
Families are encouraged to reach out to the Salvation Army at (719) 636-3891 or visit its 908 Yuma Street location.
The Salvation Army said it is taking proactive steps to address any concerns and maintain the integrity of the program.
