BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Former Scotlandville star & Southern University football quarterback, Czavian Teasett, announced his plans to enter the Transfer Portal on Monday via social media.
The redshirt freshman worked his way into the starting role at quarterback for the Jaguars, until he was eventually replaced for the final stretch run, which included a Bayou Classic win against rival Grambling State University.
Teassett threw for 18 touchdowns and over 2,000 yards in 2024 for the Jags, but he was also a threat to run, amassing over 300 yards on the ground as well.
According to NCAA rules, the Baton Rouge native will have three years of eligibility remaining at his new destination, although, entering the Transfer Portal does not mean he can't also elect to take his name out and remain at Southern.
In his post, Teasset said, "It's been a lot of lessons, trials, and tribulations that have all played a part in making me the man I am today. I would like to thank Southern University coaches and staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to showcase my skills and talents."

Starting quarterback Noah Bodden entered the transfer portal with one year of eligibility remaining.
According to GoJagSports, Jalen Woods and Angelo Izzard, Jr. are the remaining quarterbacks on the Jaguars' roster.
