SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Sunday is the final day for the Springfield Boys and Girls Club Festival of Trees. The Festival of Trees is described as a heartwarming tradition that brings the community together through the joy and magic of the holiday season. Christmas Spirit is on full display at the Mass Mutual Center for the 24th year in the form of about 130 trees, all decorated by local businesses and families. Each tree is raffled off and Sunday, December 15th is the final day to enter the raffle. After Sunday, winners will be selected and notified. The value of the trees ranges anywhere from $200 to $2,000, depending on what the decorator puts on the tree, some include gift cards or even sporting event tickets. There is also a 50/50 raffle that attendees can enter. 100% of the money raised through Festival of Trees will go straight to programs and services run by the Boys and Girls Club, helping our area's youth. Santa Claus will also be in attendance from noon to 4 pm. Doors open today at 10 am and will close at 5 pm.
