PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Many Rhode Island families will have food on the table this holiday season thanks to the generosity of WPRI 12's viewers. This year's Day of Giving on Thursday, Dec. 12, raised $52,000 for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. "The Food Bank is so grateful to our friends at WPRI 12 and their viewers for yesterday's Day of Giving. These funds are critical to our work of distributing food to the 85,000 Rhode Islanders who seek food assistance every month. Thank you!" the Food Bank wrote in a Facebook post.
