Closures announced for St. Claude Avenue Bridge

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officials with the Port of New Orleans have announced a schedule for closures of the St. Claude Avenue Bridge.
Port of New Orleans officials said the closures come as emergency repairs are being made at the Judge Seeber Bridge.

On Saturday, Dec. 14, the St. Claude Avenue Bridge will be closed to marine traffic from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and closed to vehicular traffic, bicycles and pedestrians from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
On Sunday, Dec. 15, the bridge will be closed to marine traffic from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and closed to vehicular traffic, bicycles and pedestrians from 6 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

From Monday, Dec. 16, to Friday, Dec. 20, the bridge will follow the following schedule:
From 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., the bridge will be open for vehicular traffic, pedestrians and bicycles and closed to marine traffic.
From 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the bridge will be open to marine traffic and closed to vehicular traffic, pedestrians and bicycles.
From 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., the bridge will be open for vehicular traffic, pedestrians and bicycles and closed to marine traffic.
From 6 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., the bridge will be open to marine traffic and closed to vehicular traffic, pedestrians and bicycles.
Port NOLA officials said drivers can use the Judge Seeber (Claiborne Avenue) Bridge or LA 39 and Florida Avenue Bridge as alternative routes.
