NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Temperatures will stay much warmer tonight into Saturday morning dropping only to the low to mid 50s north with mid to upper 50s south. Expect quite a bit of cloud cover through Saturday. Winds will also pick up by the afternoon in the 10-20 range, similar to what we saw on Friday. We warm up even more over the weekend to near 70 Saturday then low to mid 70s Sunday. Warm air sticks around through at least Wednesday. Overnight lows will only drop into the 50s and 60s through that time as well. A front approaches from the north on Saturday and again on Tuesday. At the moment it looks like these fade out before getting to the area so rain chances will stay small at around 20% Saturday through early next week. It still looks like a strong winter front will move through by Thursday of next week bringing much cooler weather behind it.
