Dec 13, 2024
(KRON) – More than two dozen bottles of liquor robbed from a Vacaville store were found in a stolen vehicle, according to the Vacaville Police Department.
Vacaville PD was alerted to a stolen sedan near Davis and Bella Vista streets. Officers responded to the scene and spoke to the occupants – Sacramento residents Montaje Lewis, 30, and Desiree Turner, 46. Police said the duo complied and were detained.
A local grocery store contacted the department to report a brazen theft, where a suspect, later identified as Lewis, stole a “large amount of alcohol” in garbage bags and walked out of the establishment. The silver sedan matched the suspect’s vehicle in the robbery and more than 30 bottles of liquor were found in the car.

Lewis and Turner were arrested and booked into the Solano County Jail on various charges related to the possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property and violation of probation.
The suspects did not have a preference for alcohol. Different brands of whiskeys, tequilas and vodkas were found in the sedan (pictured above).
The bottles were returned back to the grocery store, according to police.
