Toddler struck by vehicle in Lowell suffers serious injuries

LOWELL, Mass. (WWLP) - A toddler is suffering serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle in a Lowell intersection on Thursday afternoon.
In a news release from the Lowell Police Department, at around 4 p.m. officers were called to the intersection of West 3rd and Coburn Streets for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. When officers arrived, they found a 2-year-old girl lying in the street with serious injuries.

The child was taken to a hospital in the Boston area. The driver is cooperating with police as the investigation continues.
