SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Police are responding to a report of a student with a weapon at Savannah Classical Academy on Friday. A school official texted parents amid the response that "All is well here at SCA." The school is on lockdown as the Savannah Police Department, Chatham County Sheriff's office and Georgia State Patrol respond. The official's text continued: "There was a call to the local police reporting there is an incident here at SCA. We are all fine. there is a heavy Savannah Police presence here conducting a precautionary sweep of the campus." Savannah PD investigates homicide on East Park Avenue Several roads have been blocked off as police work to sweep the campus and establish a reunification point for parents.
