ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) - Partly cloudy skies to start turn mostly sunny with temperatures stuck in the 20s today. Lake flakes will linger into the first part of this morning along Lake Ontario, then our skies will become clear. Winds will also start to subside throughout the day as well. Temperatures will start to gradually warm back up heading into the weekend. We will see mostly sunny skies with temperatures back up into the mid to upper 30s for highs. Our next system will make its way to the area on Sunday. However, with temperatures on their gradual climb up, we expect rain for the Rochester area. Temperatures are expected to surpass the 40° mark on Sunday. Scattered rain showers look to linger into the first half of next week as temperatures continue climbing upwards. We will see temperatures back into the upper 40s for highs on both Monday and Tuesday. Rain chances look to subside heading into Wednesday as high temperatures start to fall. Clouds look to dominate our skies for the rest of next week with temperatures becoming more seasonable for the end of the week.
