SWANSEA, Mass. (WLNE) — Friends and family will celebrate the life of a Swansea woman who tragically lost her life in a motor vehicle accident last week in Somerset.
20-year-old Rylee O’Connor died in a motor vehicle accident on I-195 West last Friday.
O’Connor was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash shortly after 2 a.m.
Her vehicle was located in the median by responding Massachusetts State Police troopers, who were assisted by Somerset and MassDOT officials.
According to her obituary, O’Connor had a “vibrant personality and infectious laughter lit up any room, and her friends knew her as someone who was always ready for an adventure.”
“Rylee will be remembered not only for her love of life but also for the kindness and warmth she brought to everyone around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and joyful memories that will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever,” the obituary stated.
Following her graduation from Joseph Case High School in Swansea, O’Connor worked as a member of the team at Harvest Tap and Table in Swansea.
“With extreme sadness in our hearts we have lost a member of our Harvest family today and we ask for your patience and support while we navigate through these next couple weeks. Our hearts go out for the family and loved ones of such a beautiful soul,” the restaurant shared on social media.
Her celebration of life will be held today.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the Forever Paws Animal Shelter in Fall River.
