Good Evening...
Minor flooding is occuring on the Wood and Pawcatuck Rivers. River Flood Warnings are in effect for those rivers. The Pawtuxet River has dropped below flood stage.
Some incredible rainfall and wind gusts yesterday. In fact, TF Green Airport had the most rainfall for any December day on record. Continuous records have been kept for the Providence area since 1904.
Many areas got 3 to 5" of rain which led to street and poor drainage flooding. Here's a list of more rainfall totals.
The winds were howling, especially yesterday evening. There was one gust to 70mph at Conimicut Light around 6PM. Thousands loss power across Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Clear and much colder tonight with a diminishing wind. Late night will be in the upper teens to lower 20s by 5AM
FRIDAY FORECAST
Less wind Friday with sunshine. Much colder, however. Temps at sunrise will be in the teens and 20s with afternoon highs in the low to mid 30s.
LOOKING AHEAD
The sunny stretch will continue into Saturday...and so will the cold temps. Highs Saturday afternoon will be in the mid 30s. The average high for this time of year is 44°.
