Laganelli's special Christmas breakfast is a meringue-based dessert with pavlova, cream and berries, and mini frittatas. NOR to host holiday events, activities throughout December Taking the form of a cake-like circular block of baked meringue—pavlova has a crisp crust; it is soft and light inside. This dessert originates from Australia and New Zealand in the early 20th century. It was named after Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova.
