APD: One person dead after 2vehicle crash in southeast Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash that happened in southeast Austin Monday, the Austin Police Department said in a news release.

APD officers responded to the intersection of East Riverside Drive and Clubview Avenue around 6:08 p.m. for the crash. A passenger in one of the vehicles was transported to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Police identified her as 62-year-old Regina Natalie Reyes.
Both drivers of the vehicles remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation, according to police.
This is now being investigated as Austin's 85th fatal crash of 2024, the release said.
