ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Rochester woman has been arrested for allegedly entering a restricted area at the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport — and federal prosecutors say this isn't the first time. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, on November 27, Takesha Rogers, 39, entered a secured area and was spotted running toward an aircraft that was taxiing toward the runway. She was taken into custody under a mental hygiene arrest and brought to Rochester General Hospital for evaluation. In May of 2022, Rogers admitted to climbing over a fence and entering the Aircraft Operations Area. She was sentenced to time served and one year of supervised release, prosecutors said. The same thing happened in April 2023, after which she was sentenced to one year in prison. Rogers is charged with "willfully entering an airport area that serves an air carrier or foreign air carrier in violation of security requirements." If convicted, she faces another year in prison.
