Public meeting planned to discuss upgrades for small bridge in Summerville community

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Residents in Dorchester County can attend a public information meeting on Thursday regarding a Deer Run Road replacement project.
The meeting will be held in person from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Rollins Edwards Community Center on North Hickory Street.
Dorchester County officials hope to provide the public with information about the project scope, proposed design, status, and anticipated schedule. They will also discuss road closures and detour plans.
Attendees can ask questions and share feedback with project representatives during the meeting.
Residents who are unable to attend can find meeting materials and an online comment form on the project’s website immediately following the meeting.
People are asked to submit comments during a 30-day feedback period which closed on Jan. 12.
