The Canyon Crest fire was first reported shortly after 5:30 p.m. Thanksgiving Day, near Canyon Crest Drive and Weeping Willow Lane.

Under California’s definition, an evacuation warning means there is a potential threat to life and/or property. Pack essentials and prepare to leave if an order is issued.
An evacuation order means there is an “immediate threat to life,” and is considered “a lawful order to leave now.” Any area under an evacuation order is closed to the public.
