HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A hit-and-run occurred on West Broad Street in Henrico on Thursday that put a man in the hospital with life-threatening injuries. According to Henrico Police, officers responded to the 7800 block of West Broad Street at 9:32 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28 and found a crash involving a pedestrian. Officers found a man on scene with "obvious traumatic injuries" and he was transported to a local hospital with injuries that are considered life-threatening. The vehicle involved fled the scene and did not cooperate with the investigation, according to police. The investigation is currently being handled by the Henrico Police Crash Team. Westbound Broad Street from Wistar Road to Hungary Springs Road will be closed until the investigation is complete. Motorists are being asked to take a different route and avoid the area for the next several hours.
