HONOLULU (KHON2) — Ensuring everyone gets to share in the holiday blessings is a community effort. This Thanksgiving was all about sharing the love. "During the holidays, the loneliness can hit a little harder. A conversation with Jo Koy: “It’s a blessing to be back in Hawaii” That's why we make an extra effort to deliver these fresh, warm meals," stated Carla Kida, a volunteer. Some families skipped breakfast to enjoy a hot meal at the Blaisdell. The Salvation Army's 52nd annual Thanksgiving meal even served about 1,500 meals.
