PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) -- A strong cold front has moved through the area.
The rain has moved off the coast, and the winds should be dropping as we go through the evening.
What we experienced today is part of a very large cold air mass dropping down from Canada and it covers much of the eastern half of the country from New England to Florida. Our temperatures will be below normal for the next several days.
The low tonight will be near 23 degrees with the high Friday near 50. After that, highs will be in the 40s and lows in the low 20s (with some areas likely in the teens) at least until Wednesday or Thursday of next week.
The forecast looks dry, although there could be some off-and-on on clouds Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.
