CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A man was shot on Parkside Drive in Chesapeake late Friday night and has potentially life-threatening injuries, police said. Chesapeake Police officers responded to the 3000 block of Parkside Drive around 8:53 p.m. after a report of gunshots being heard. While officers were on their way to the scene, multiple calls came in that someone was shot, police said, and when officers arrived, they found one man who had been shot. That person, according to Chesapeake Police, was taken to a hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. Police are actively investigating the shooting.
